The Florence Roby brand was established in 1968 by Florence Roby herself, a bespoke tailoress from St Helens. The business started out in Florence's kitchen and later drew the support of her husband Robert and her son Steven, which enabled them to expand into a purpose-built factory in Prescot, Merseyside, in the 70s.

As a family business, the company spent its early years focussing on hairdressing, hospital and healthcare dresses and ecclesiastical wear. Some 30 years later, Florence Roby branched out into the beauty and spa hotel industry with the introduction of the Oriental tunic and trousers, breaking the traditional norms of ladies' uniforms. This drove significant business growth and today Florence Roby continues to maintain its reputation as an industry leader in beauty uniforms.

Florence Roby's current team now spans three generations, with Steven's wife Jan Roby and son Ben Roby joining the business in recent years. The brand's core ethos has not changed since the 60s however; for five decades, the company has had a passion for innovative designs and high standards.

The Team at Florence Roby are proud to call themselves UK manufacturers, but in recent years have also expanded their production processes in Eastern Europe. After a rigorous selection process, the team chose Eastern Europe for its excellent quality and ethical work practices. Furthermore, they have also seen significantly reduced lead times compared to other uniform suppliers whose products are sourced from the Far East, providing a better service for their customers.

All of Florence Roby's fabrics are manufactured in Nottingham, helping the company to adhere to its core values of ethical production and top quality service. Florence Roby's beauty clothing range is made using Softex fabric, guaranteeing better durability and an overall higher quality product.

Florence Roby offers an extensive stock range of dresses, beauty tunics, trousers and gents wear. Our maternity wear can be adapted to any Florence Roby style or colour.

The team also offers a made to measure service and inhouse embroidery facility for customers who wish to brand their uniform with a company logo. The company introduces new designs every year and can also offer a bespoke design service to large corporate companies where orders are in excess of 200 garments.
